Founders Story

Hi, I’m Jess Pragnell and my Inspired Spark journey started during the first big COVID lockdown of 2020. I was more extroverted then and gee whiz did I feel isolated. Didn’t we all?

At that time, I was stuck in my house and dealing with a bully for a boss while it felt like the world was breaking. Over a period of time, the combination ground me down and I found myself in a dark place. With two small children and a loving husband I needed to get back to good and found myself searching through many years worth of quotes and phrases I had collected. Julia Baird writes... What good is everything you have learned if you cant apply it when you are floundering?

I was floundering.

I had collected over 200 quotes and phrases at that time (now over 700) and had worked with the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) method so started categorising the phrases by values. There is so much wisdom in the world and the work was so nourishing.

When I stripped back my life to really focus on what was important I found the strength to stand up to the bully and get back into the light. The personal growth felt great. Its a mighty gamble but my hope is that Inspired Spark concepts could be someone's spark in the dark #sparkinthedark.
